Limelight UK Events: event production and DJ hire in the UK

Limelight UK Events is a British event production and entertainment company operating nationwide. Its activity combines DJ hire with a broad catalogue of technical equipment and services for weddings, corporate events, private parties, sports events, school dances and proms, pubs, clubs and bars, and festivals. The company presents itself as a comprehensive option: in addition to music, it covers lighting, sound, staging, dance floors and atmospheric effects, so it can handle the complete production from concept to completion.

Entertainment and hire services

The service catalogue includes:

• Professional DJ hire.
• Photo booth hire, with variants such as the Magic Mirror and the telephone box.
• Dance floor hire.
• Event decor: light-up letters and numbers, and uplighting.
• Event production: stage hire, sound and lighting, and video walls.
• AV support for conferences.
• Karaoke and silent disco, the latter with up to three channels of music.

The company states that additional services can be booked together with the DJ and that it offers better rates when they are booked as a bundle.

Audiences and types of event

Limelight UK Events serves weddings, corporate events, private parties, sports events, school dances and proms, pubs, clubs and bars, and festivals. The company notes that it adapts to different environments and needs, and that it assigns the most suitable DJ according to the type of event and the atmosphere sought.

Team and working method

The team consists of several DJs, among whom Alan, Phil, Big Luke, Little Luke, Gareth and Brad G are mentioned. The company states that every booking has a backup DJ to prevent cancellations. Its working method is organised into four phases: initial consultation to understand the client's vision and preferences; planning of logistics, supplier coordination and timings; confirmation of the final details; and execution of the event.

Case studies and reviews

Recent work includes entertainment for a wedding at the Stanhill Court Hotel, AV production for a corporate awards gala and AV production for a professional boxing event. The company presents itself as a five-star rated company and shows client testimonials that highlight its ability to read the crowd, keep the dance floor busy and manage the event without the client having to worry about the details.
