North East Bifolds

Based in Cold Hesledon near Seaham, North East Bifolds makes and supplies aluminum solutions for homes and construction projects. Bifold doors are its specialty, while the range also includes sliding doors, entry doors, interior partitions, windows, and roof lanterns. The company describes itself as family-run and says its team brings more than 50 years of industry experience.

Bifold doors can be configured for the space and its intended use. The company’s website offers a choice of styles and colors, two to seven panels, and widths listed from 1,400 to 8,400 millimeters. That range can accommodate openings between a living room and garden, interior room dividers, or larger glazed fronts. The final selection depends on the project’s measurements and design.

The range extends beyond bifold systems. North East Bifolds offers aluminum sliding doors, front doors, interior doors and partitions, fixed casement windows, and roof lanterns. The company presents its products as customizable to suit a home’s finish and layout. Rather than a single standard configuration, it describes a process of discussing the opening, style, and solution each project needs.

Services include supplying and installing aluminum products. The company describes installation as a central part of the work, from planning through finishing. Contractors and trade customers who do not need installation can also request a supply-only option. Distinguishing these two services helps customers seek a quote that fits the project and identifies who will handle the fitting.

For its products, the company names systems and components from Schüco, Smart Systems, and Spitfire, and says it selects materials from specialist suppliers. This gives customers some insight into the products’ sourcing, but configurations still differ: dimensions, opening style, glazing, and finish need to suit the building and the intended use.

Security also appears in the company’s product information. North East Bifolds says it fits EROS three-star cylinders and identifies a 2024 Sold Secure Diamond certification for the cited system. That statement concerns the cylinder named by the company; it is not a general guarantee about every door or an individual installation.

The company serves projects in northeast England and lists its premises at Bifold House, on North Crescent Industrial Estate in Cold Hesledon, Seaham. Its published hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; it lists Saturday and Sunday as closed. The address and phone number are available for questions about measurements, finishes, and whether a project needs installation or supply only.

For homeowners, builders, and contractors, the offer combines a configurable aluminum range with product guidance and installation. It is particularly relevant when a project calls for a multi-panel bifold opening or a coordinated set of doors, windows, and roof lanterns. Appearance is only part of the decision: measurements, opening direction, finish, and installation scope all shape which system fits the work.
