About Loghouse UK
Loghouse UK: timber cabins with its own factory and installation across the UK
Loghouse UK is a timber construction company operating in the UK and Ireland that presents itself as a complete specialist in this type of building. Its proposition is built on vertical integration: it designs, manufactures, delivers, installs and finishes each building with a single accountable team, with no subcontractor chains. The company is part of Loghouse Group, founded in Ireland in 2007.
From reseller to manufacturer: the evolution of Loghouse
The company began trading in 2007 in Ireland as a small cabin reseller. During its first decade it focused on learning the trade in detail: what fails, what lasts and what the customer really needs. In 2020 it acquired its own manufacturing facility in Lithuania, a step that, according to its account, transformed the business model. Since then, every building is cut, designed and quality-checked in its own factory, using slow-grown Baltic timber and German-made uPVC windows and doors.
The company states it has completed more than 10,000 projects and has two showrooms in the UK, in Glasgow (Cumbernauld) and Rugby (Warwickshire), where it is possible to walk through full-size cabins before buying.
Three construction systems from a single supplier
Loghouse sells three types of construction, a combination the company presents as unusual in the British market:
- Log cabins: traditional construction with interlocking Baltic timber, warm in character and with a stated lifespan of more than 30 years. It is the company's original product since 2007.
- Modern hybrids: timber construction with a steel-finish roof and walls, with a contemporary look, low maintenance and high weather resistance.
- Structural insulated panels (SIP): the most energy-efficient system in its range, designed for garden offices, gyms and studios usable all year round, with stable temperatures and low running costs.
Buildings can be delivered fully finished, with fitted kitchens (Portree and Clyde Kitchens), bathrooms, EV smart radiators, flooring, electrics and paint. The company manages the entire process with a single invoice, a single warranty and a single team.
What sets its manufacturing model apart
The company maintains that most cabin suppliers in the UK are resellers who buy from a handful of Baltic factories and pass the risk on to the customer. Against that model, Loghouse highlights several points:
- Factory-direct pricing, with no middlemen.
- 45 mm timber as standard, compared with the 24-28 mm that, according to the company, most competitors offer.
- End-to-end quality control, from timber selection to the last screw.
- Shorter lead times because it does not depend on third-party production queues.
- Single accountability: one company to turn to if any issue arises.
Stated guarantees and commitments
Loghouse offers a ten-year warranty on fully insulated builds and a price match promise: if the customer finds the same specification cheaper, the company matches the offer. It also includes free planning guidance with every enquiry and its own installation teams, never subcontracted. The company also highlights its aftercare, which according to its presentation responds quickly.
Sales team and customer service
The sales team is split between the two British showrooms. David Whyte, Head of Sales & Business Development for the UK, works directly with customers across the country to turn complex concepts into tangible specifications at the Glasgow showroom. Graham Scott, Sales Manager in Glasgow, supports Scottish projects from Cumbernauld. In Rugby, Brad Sillers and Dan Hughes handle enquiries and layout upgrades, guiding the customer from the first enquiry through to the final specification.
Presence and coverage
The company operates across the UK and Ireland, with free delivery in the UK and finance options available. Its activity is supported by two showrooms: one in Glasgow, at Caulders Garden Centre (Cumbernauld), and another in Rugby, at Blooms Garden Centre (Straight Mile, Frankton).
