Newpower Advanced Ltd: solar and air source heat pump installations in the UK

Newpower Advanced Ltd is a British company dedicated to installing renewable energy solutions for homes and businesses. Its activity focuses on solar PV panels, battery storage systems, air source heat pumps, electric vehicle chargers and air conditioning equipment. The company presents itself as a partner for the energy transition and offers installation, maintenance and repair services.

Solar PV panels and battery storage

The company installs solar PV systems and battery storage designed to enable customers to generate their own electricity, reduce their energy bills and lower their carbon footprint. The service includes expert advice and an installation tailored to the needs of each home. The company's catalogue mentions brands such as Tesla and Duracell Solar Batteries, and is aimed at those comparing solar panel costs for the home or looking for trusted installers.

Smart batteries store excess solar energy generated during the day for use at night, on cloudy days or during peak demand hours. These systems integrate with the solar PV installation and allow for increased self-consumption and reduced reliance on the grid, in both homes and businesses.

Air source heat pumps and air conditioning

Newpower Advanced Ltd installs air source heat pumps, a heating system that captures heat from the air using an electric compressor and which, according to the company, achieves efficiencies of over 400%. The company notes that these systems are backed by the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), which offers a £7,500 grant towards installation. The service is aimed at both homes and commercial premises.

The company also sells and installs air conditioning equipment for residential and commercial use, and integrates electric vehicle chargers, a solution the company links to taking advantage of smart electricity tariffs with lower-cost time slots.

Smart tariffs and energy management

The company explains how smart electricity tariffs work: plans with variable prices depending on the time of consumption that require a smart meter. These tariffs incentivise energy use during off-peak hours, when demand and prices are lower, and are especially cost-effective for charging electric vehicles overnight. Newpower Advanced Ltd notes that most energy providers offer this type of tariff.
