About Paultons Park

Paultons Park is a 140-acre family theme park in Ower, Hampshire, beside the New Forest National Park. More than 70 rides and attractions across six themed worlds take visitors from roller coasters and family rides to children’s play areas and animal habitats. The park opened in 1983 and remains owned and operated by the Mancey family, a continuity that accompanies an offering built for visitors of different ages.

Peppa Pig World is one of the best-known areas; the park describes it as the only Peppa Pig theme park in the United Kingdom. It includes nine rides inspired by the series and a large indoor play area, and it is included with general admission. Nearby, Tornado Springs evokes a roadside town in the American Midwest; Lost Kingdom centers on dinosaur attractions, including two roller coasters; Critter Creek imagines fantastical creatures, and Valgard introduces a Nordic-themed world.

The ride selection makes it possible to shape the day around a group’s ages and appetite for activity. There are roller coasters and thrill rides, family and children’s rides, train and boat rides, water-play areas, a driving school, and indoor and outdoor play spaces. The park’s ride guide lets visitors check height requirements and restrictions before joining a line, which is useful when traveling with children or planning a family route.

Animals are part of the overall route rather than a separate experience. In Wild Lands, visitors can see meerkats, mongooses, and Cape porcupines, as well as tropical birds in a walk-through aviary. The mix of gardens, play areas, and animal exhibits creates breaks between mechanical rides and gives visitors looking for a slower pace other ways to spend time.

Food options range from breakfast and light bites to burgers, fish and chips, pizza, burritos, fries, chicken wings, sandwiches, ice cream, doughnuts, and pastries. The park has both dine-in restaurants and takeaway outlets, along with vegetarian, vegan, and nut-free dishes. Products and allergen information can vary, so the park advises guests to speak with staff at the point of purchase. Outlets operate seasonally, and the official app shows which are open that day.

The park lists services for guests with access needs. Everyone needs an admission ticket, including visitors using a wheelchair or mobility scooter. The Queue Assist Pass must be booked in advance and is for visitors who meet the program’s criteria; Essential Companion tickets are also available to eligible Access Card holders. Each attraction has its own safety rules, so visitors should review the posted guidance before boarding.

Paultons offers day tickets, annual passes, school visits, and short breaks at nearby accommodations. Its app brings together the park map, ride availability, and daily information. The park’s main strength is the range within a single site: a family can move among children’s areas, higher-intensity rides, play spaces, and wildlife without relying on one theme alone. The day is easier to plan when visitors choose their priority areas in advance and check the operating calendar.
