About APEX NEURO
APEX NEURO: advanced neurorehabilitation for complex conditions
APEX NEURO is an advanced neurological rehabilitation clinic based in the United Kingdom that presents itself as a specialist in multiple sclerosis (MS), motor neurone disease (MND/ALS) and functional neurological disorder (FND). Its approach focuses on complex and degenerative conditions, with its own methodology called the APEX Neuro method and the use of Neubie technology, which the clinic identifies itself as the first to introduce in the United Kingdom.
The clinic states that it serves an international client base and has one of the highest success rates on the continent in working with neurological and degenerative conditions, according to its own presentation. In addition to its main specialities, the team works with ataxia, stroke and other conditions affecting the nervous system.

The APEX Neuro method and Neubie technology
Robert Cartwright, co-founder and lead practitioner, is the creator of the APEX Neuro method. His background includes a degree in Sport Science and Coaching, qualification as a personal trainer, experience as an international athlete and training as a Neufit and low-level laser practitioner. The clinic presents itself as the most experienced in the United Kingdom in Neufit practices and the first to incorporate Neubie therapy in the country.
Cartwright leads a multidisciplinary team and specialises in advanced cases, mainly MS, MND and FND. Before dedicating himself to neurorehabilitation, he worked with some of the UK's top athletes. His interest in this area stems from his personal experience as the primary caregiver for his sister, who was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 9 and who suffered strokes and lost her sight, hearing and mobility.
Clinical leadership and remote programme
Sarah Eliza Steel is the founder and clinic director. She holds a degree in Applied Psychology, is a candidate for two doctorates and has experience as a personal trainer. Her research applied neuroimaging techniques and biomarker analysis to study cognitive function, cerebral energy metabolism and brain activity. Her interest in neuroscience intensified after she sustained a traumatic brain injury in 2019, from which she made a full recovery using unconventional methods.
Steel founded APEX NEURO to drive innovative strategies in neurological rehabilitation and is the creator of the APEX Neuro remote support programme, a distance support platform conceived specifically for underserved and degenerative conditions, such as MS, MND and FND. She is described as an early adopter of biotechnologies and the first to introduce Neufit technology in the United Kingdom.
Services and care modalities
The clinic structures its offering around neurorehabilitation, with specific programmes for multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorder, motor neurone disease and stroke, as well as an intensive modality and a remote programme. The website offers the possibility of requesting a free consultation to learn about the approach and assess its applicability.
Team and approach
The team is presented as multidisciplinary and works with a client base from different countries. The methodology combines innovative, logical and evidence-based approaches, with the stated aim of restoring hope and improving the quality of life of clients and their families. The clinic maintains that its results defy conventional and outdated perspectives on these conditions.
