Tiny Box Maker

Cornwall manufacturer of gift boxes and branded packaging, with custom design, semi-custom formats, inserts, and printed finishes.

About Tiny Box Maker

Tiny Box Maker makes a box part of a product’s presentation. Its Redruth factory in Cornwall combines handwork with manufacturing processes to produce gift and branded packaging. The project began in 2016 when Tiny Box Company acquired the factory previously known as The Box Office and retained experienced staff.

The group’s story began earlier: Rachel Watkyn founded Tiny Box Company in 2007 after searching for recycled packaging for her ethical and fair-trade jewelry. Tiny Box Maker subsequently developed custom box manufacturing within that history. It works with small businesses and larger brands, on orders ranging from one special piece to runs for a product launch.

Fully custom design starts with the item the box will hold, its quantity, dimensions, and presentation. Options include a separate lid, magnetic closure, slipcase, slipcase with tray, and shoulder box. Inserts adapt the interior to the product, while printing, foil stamping, and raised or recessed finishes incorporate logos or messages.

The semi-custom line uses established formats for stationery, vouchers, jewelry, and clothing. Twelve colors and different depths are available; published measurements are internal. Information distinguishes unbranded boxes, with no minimum order, from logo options that may require a minimum quantity. Published typical production time for custom work is three to four weeks; unbranded semi-custom boxes have an estimated seven- to ten-day turnaround.

The design team discusses paper, thickness, style, and finishes before production. The company explains that machine setup has an initial cost even for a small order. Samples, trials with the product, and scheduled partial deliveries are among the services described for customers aligning production with storage space or sales.

Materials also shape the offering: board can contain up to seventy percent recycled pulp, depending on the selection, and production uses cold glue without animal-derived ingredients. Boxes are made in Cornwall. Rather than a catalog of interchangeable containers, Tiny Box Maker works with proportions, feel, and presentation, designing a solution around what will go inside.
