Woven Wood

Woven Wood, willow and wood craftsmanship for the garden

Woven Wood is an online shop based in Reading (United Kingdom) focused on selling garden items made with traditional wood weaving techniques. The company presents itself as a continuation of that craft and states that its artisans select quality materials and apply inherited methods to create functional and decorative pieces. It operates under Tulipy Ltd., registered in England and Wales.

Panels and screens for privacy and enclosure

The catalogue devotes a large section to enclosure and visual screening. Hazel hurdles are described as a sturdy and durable fence, handwoven from coppiced hazel, designed to blend into rustic-style gardens. Willow screening serves a similar purpose by disguising unattractive walls and fences and adding a countryside feel. These are joined by bamboo and bark screening, black bamboo and bamboo fencing, as well as installation accessories such as cable ties, galvanised wire, chestnut posts and rubber mallets. The website includes a guide on how to install these panels.

Planters in metal, wood and terracotta

Planters are another main line, organised by material, shape, colour and size. There are models in metal, wood, galvanised zinc, corten steel, terracotta and for raised beds. By shape, there are rectangular planters, trellis planters, long tall troughs, square, cube, round and barrel planters. Available finishes include black, grey, copper, white and silver, as well as corten steel itself. Accessories include liners and wheels, corten rust cleaner, invisible rubber pot feet and a specific zinc cleaner. The shop groups pieces by size, from extra small (10 to 40 cm) to extra large (150 to 300 cm), and publishes a guide on lining, drainage and growing in planters.

Plants, trees and lawn edging

The plant range includes fruit trees (apple, cherry, fig, lemon, lime and pear), ornamental trees (Japanese maple, birch, cherry blossom, magnolia, rowan and willow), bamboo, climbing plants, hedging, pond plants, shrubs and soft fruit. The website organises specific selections for trees in planters and for small gardens. In the edging section, lawn edging rolls and tree rings are sold, with variants in metal, corten steel, galvanised steel, wood, willow and hazel & chestnut.

Storage, structures and outdoor furniture

The offer is completed with wooden compost bins, garden furniture (dining sets, swing seats, picnic tables, tables, benches and outdoor seating), structures such as sheds, pergolas, gazebos and arches, and storage solutions including garden chests, log stores, bike storage and wheelie bin storage. There are also propagation items such as greenhouses, coldframes and garden staging, as well as fencing, garden gates and posts with their accessories.

Ethically sourced materials and group brands

The company states it prioritises wood from sustainable and ethical sources, from forests managed in a way that protects biodiversity and the economic and social well-being of forest communities. Under its umbrella it groups the brands Woven Wood, Zephyr Sail Shades and Planters.co.uk. The website announces trade discounts and a clearance section with savings of up to 50%, and notes that its products have appeared on the ITV Gardening Club programme. The catalogue showed delivery within three to five working days for items in stock.
