Caversham Vehicle Hire

Caversham Vehicle Hire is a vehicle rental company with more than 25 years of experience and two locations in the Thames Valley.

Its fleet serves everyday travel as well as moves, commercial work, and group trips. Rather than focusing only on compact cars, it brings passenger vehicles and cargo options in several sizes together under one booking service.

The car range includes small, medium, and large models, along with executive options and SUVs. Groups can choose seven- or nine-seat multipurpose vehicles (MPVs) and minibuses with 14, 15, or 17 seats. Cargo vehicles include short-, medium-, long-, and extra-long-wheelbase vans, as well as 3.5-ton Luton-style vans with tail lifts, low-loader vans, tipper trucks, and larger trucks. Specific availability depends on the fleet at the time of booking, but the range lets customers choose based on passenger numbers, cargo volume, or the job at hand.

The company offers self-drive rentals for short or long periods, including weekend options, and can tailor commercial agreements for businesses that need to supplement a fleet temporarily.

According to the company, vehicles are serviced and professionally valeted, and rentals include breakdown assistance. Quotes include VAT, insurance, and breakdown cover; customers provide the fuel. Caversham Vehicle Hire also sells some vehicles retired from its fleet, which the company says were maintained and serviced while in use.

Bookings can include practical add-ons. The team can arrange vehicle delivery or collection depending on distance, and rail travelers can request a meet-and-greet at Reading’s main railway station for an additional charge. Available extras include satellite navigation systems, child seats, and sack trucks. These options can make a rental easier to tailor to a move or a particular journey, although availability and terms are confirmed for each booking.

Caversham Vehicle Hire operates from two locations. Its Caversham office is at 19 Ardler Road in Reading, while the Newbury branch is at Unit 17, Riverpark Industrial Estate, Ampere Road, Newbury RG14 2DQ. The listed phone number for Newbury is 01635 44 519, and the official contact page also associates info@cavershamvehiclehire.co.uk with that branch. The company says its teams serve individual customers and commercial clients in Reading, Caversham, Newbury, Henley-on-Thames, and nearby areas. Having locations in two towns gives customers a choice of where to collect the vehicle and plan its return.
