The Decorator Guys: spray painting in Dorset

The Decorator Guys is a painting and decorating company based in Dorset (United Kingdom) that works on both residential and commercial and industrial properties. Its speciality is the application of paint using spray systems, a method which, according to its presentation, offers a higher-quality finish than traditional painting methods. The company states that it covers a wide area of the English South West coast, with a presence in locations such as Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, among others.

Interior services

In the residential interior sector, the company carries out painting of walls and ceilings, coating of trim and doors, painting of staircases and radiators, and plastering solutions. It also handles the hanging and removal of wallpaper. A notable area is kitchen respraying, which includes spraying kitchen cabinets and doors, painting worktops and a specific colour range for this service. The company also offers advice on colours and trends.

Exterior coating

Externally, The Decorator Guys applies spray painting to masonry, brick, garage doors, fencing and other elements. Its services include UPVC spray painting, roof spray painting, cream mineral coating for masonry, exterior wall coating for listed buildings, cladding spray painting and exterior house painting. The company mentions a ten-year guarantee for exterior wall coating.

Industrial and commercial painting

For the industrial and commercial sector, the company presents itself as an industrial spray painting contractor. Its services include spray painting of ceilings, voids and soffits, shop fronts, roller shutters, industrial roofs and industrial cladding. It also carries out painting and decorating work in schools. The company states that it follows manufacturers' guidelines, applies the appropriate number of coats and works with minimal disruption to tenants, customers or employees.

Project management and colour consultancy

In addition to carrying out the work, The Decorator Guys offers project management and colour consultancy services. One example cited on its website is the renovation of Hurn Court, in Hurn (Christchurch, Dorset), a late 15th-century building with listed building status. The project, led by Sean, combined the conservation of original features, such as the library panelling, with the integration of modern shelving and the renovation of wooden floors.

Work process

The process begins with a free on-site estimate, which can be requested via an online form or by phone. During the visit, the surfaces to be treated are measured and the spray systems and colour guides are presented. A detailed quote is then sent by email and, once approved, the service date is set. The team, uniformed and insured, travels to the property, protects belongings and carries out the necessary preparations before applying the coating. On completion, the company handles the cleaning and requests feedback from the client.
