AutoDentz Ltd is a British company specialising in paintless dent removal, a technique known by its English acronym PDR (paintless dent removal). Our own workshop and a mobile service

History and team

AutoDentz Ltd was founded in 2001 by Derek Clancy, after four years of intensive training and gaining Master Technician status at a pioneering company in the PDR sector. Over the following five years, while consolidating the company in Plymouth and Cornwall, his son Jason joined. Derek supported Jason for two years with advice and put him through the same rigorous training process. Jason took on a more active role and began serving local dealerships, used car forecourts, and body repair centres in Plymouth and Cornwall that remain clients to this day. Following the passing of Derek, Jason took the reins of the company. In 2018 the own workshop opened and another experienced PDR technician joined.

Jason Clancy is owner and managing director. He holds accreditation from the Institute of Motor Industries (IMI), an industry body that externally verifies the repairs carried out by AutoDentz, and has obtained additional certification to work safely on electric and hybrid vehicles. Paul Pearson joined in 2018 after moving with his family from Yorkshire. Trained for three years as a vehicle paint refinisher, he developed his career in body shops before moving into high-level PDR, with particular experience in hail damage repair. He holds the same IMI qualification as Jason and runs the mobile service.

The company serves Plymouth and Cornwall, both private customers and car dealerships and repair centres in the region. Its team combines more than twenty years of experience in paintless dent removal.
