ProGreen, weed control and lawn care for domestic and professional use

ProGreen is a British retailer specialising in products for weed control, lawn maintenance and outdoor surface care. Its catalogue caters to both homeowners and industry professionals, and includes everything from herbicides to grass seed, fertilisers, plant protection treatments and application equipment.

Weed control

The shop organises its herbicide range into several families. It offers specific products against horsetail and marestail, such as Kurtail Evo and Kurtail, as well as SBK Brushwood Killer. It also sells total and long-lasting herbicides, glyphosate and non-glyphosate formulations, industrial strength and residual products, as well as selective products for lawns and paddocks. This section is completed by stump removers, adjuvants and application improvers, dye markers and knapsack and tank cleaners.

Grass seed and paddock seed

The seed catalogue includes the A1 Lawn line, with varieties for general use, hard-wearing, luxury, for shade and drought, for patch repair and for cold start. The range extends to specialist seed for sports fields: bowling greens, football pitches, golf courses and sports grounds. For agricultural and commercial use it offers paddock and commercial grass seed, as well as wildflower mixes, with options for 100% wildflower and 80:20 grass and wildflower mixes, and SFI seed. The shop also sells an A1 Lawn seasonal subscription pack and a starter pack.

Fertilisers and lawn care

In fertilisation, ProGreen distributes products for lawns and turf, autumn and winter feeds, spring and summer feeds, and combined fertiliser and weedkiller formulations. The range is completed with seaweed and biostimulants, soil conditioners, soil analysis, growth regulators, surface treatments, wetting agents and lawn care packs. For agricultural and paddock use it offers bulk, general purpose and paddock fertilisers, as well as plant food.

Moss, algae and surface cleaning

The company sells treatments against moss and algae, with the AlgoClear range and products for moss control in lawns and algae in water and ponds. It also offers hard surface cleaners using softwashing, with associated packs and equipment, and products to remove outdoor stains such as fungal and rust stains, as well as disinfectants and cleaners.

Pest and disease control

The plant health and pest control section includes professional and non-professional rodenticides, bait stations and traps. Against insects and birds it offers treatments for ants, wasps and hornets, bird control, bed bugs and spiders, plant pests, slugs and snails, and turf pests. In fungicides, it has products against box blight and for fruit and vegetables.

Service and operation

The shop provides telephone and email support and operates Monday to Friday. Its catalogue displays prices with and without VAT, a useful distinction for professional customers.
