Gorgeous Roses, an online nursery specialising in roses

Gorgeous Roses is a British shop dedicated to the sale of roses, operated by the company Gorgeous Roses LTD. Its catalogue is organised around five main groups: hybrid tea roses, floribunda roses, climbing roses, shrub roses and striped or two-tone varieties. The company sells both bare-root and potted roses, and presents its collection as a selection designed to bring colour, fragrance and structure to gardens of different sizes, from balconies to large spaces.

Rose catalogue by category

The range is structured into categories based on habit and type of flowering. Hybrid teas are described as elegant classics, with large, fragrant blooms. Floribundas stand out for their abundant flowering in clusters of vivid colours. Climbers are presented as versatile varieties that add vertical interest to the garden. The shrub collection is associated with resilience and robustness, while the striped and two-tone roses section brings together varieties of ornamental interest for their colour combination.

Among the named varieties appearing in the catalogue are Rose Acropolis, Rose Eddy Mitchell, Rose Hocus Pocus, Rose Imperatrice Farah, Rose Menta, Rose Miss Piggy, Rose Monica, Rose Novalis, Rose Pomponella and Rose Red Eye. The shop states that it works with disease-resistant, scented and vintage-style varieties.

Planting advice

The company includes basic rose-growing recommendations on its website. It notes that the best time to plant them is during the dormant season, especially for bare-root roses, and that potted roses can be planted during the growing season if the ground is not frozen. It recommends locations with at least six hours of daily sunlight, fertile, well-drained soil, and sufficient spacing between plants to encourage air circulation and prevent disease.
