RxSport

RxSport, online sports optical retailer specialising in prescription eyewear

RxSport is a British optical retailer operating exclusively online and focusing on sports vision. Founded in 2005 and online since 2006, it presents itself as an independent company working with international brands of sunglasses, ski goggles, helmets and lenses. Its UK-based team handles enquiries by phone and chat, and the company describes itself as a specialist in complex wraparound lenses, prescription inserts and lens selection according to the sport practised.

Optical services and home trial

The company has qualified opticians and offers a seven-day home trial for its prescription products. Its commercial policy, called RxPromise, states that if the customer is not satisfied with the vision of their prescription eyewear during the first 30 days, the company will remake or exchange the product or, ultimately, refund the amount. The site indicates free UK delivery and next-day shipping availability.

Guides and advice for choosing lenses

RxSport publishes guides on sunglasses, prescription glasses, ski goggles, ski helmets, varifocal lenses and sunglasses in general. It also offers telephone consultations and a chat service to answer questions about lens selection according to the sport practised. The company encourages customers to share their sporting experiences by tagging their products, although social media activity is managed outside this profile.
