Sofa Box: ex-display and renewed sofas from major brands

Sofa Box is a British retailer dedicated to selling ex-display and renewed sofas from brands such as DFS, Sofology, Furniture Village and La-Z-Boy. Its proposition focuses on offering these pieces of furniture at a fraction of the original retail price, as stated by the company itself. The catalogue can be purchased online or by visiting its showroom in Peterborough.

A catalogue dominated by sofas from recognised brands

Sofa Box's offering is structured around three main product families: sofas, armchairs and footstools. Within sofas, models with power recliner mechanisms, heated functions and lumbar support are abundant, as well as corner configurations, U-shaped sofas and multi-piece sets. Among the standout pieces in the catalogue are the DFS Showcase Power Recliner 3 Seater Sofa with Smart Console in Frost Leather, the Sofology Kingsbridge with power recliner, heated and headrest functions in ivory, and the Sofology Bellagio large U-shaped sofa upholstered in luxury deep pile chenille. Sets such as the DFS Davis, comprising 3 and 2 seater sofas with power recliner, or the DFS Cherished in a corner configuration, also feature.

The selection also includes La-Z-Boy models, such as the New Tamla with power recliner, headrest and lumbar functions, and the Austin 2 seater. From Furniture Village comes the Homestage, a 3 seater media sofa with power recliner in grey leather. The prices published at the time of analysis range from £595 to £2,195, depending on the model, size and type of upholstery.

Armchairs, accent chairs and footstools

The individual seating section brings together power recliner armchairs, swivel chairs and accent chairs. The company sells models such as the DFS Trek Power Recliner in taupe leather, the DFS Venosa with heated function in Borelli Frost leather, or the DFS New Tahiti with heated and memory functions. Designer swivel chairs also feature, such as the French Connection Molten or the Honeycomb in white Teddy fabric, and accent chairs such as the DFS Amelie in ivory bouclé or the DFS Tub in blue velvet. Prices in this group start at £150 for accent chairs and reach £595 for recliner models with additional functions.

Footstools complete the offering, with options that include storage, such as the DFS Steller or the DFS Cherished, and a console with integrated speaker from the Steller line. Prices for these accessories are around £195 and £295.
