National Car Finder

National Car Finder: bespoke used car sourcing in the UK

National Car Finder Ltd is a British company specialising in sourcing used vehicles to the customer's specifications and delivering them directly to their door. Its approach is built on over 25 years of experience in the used car market and a network of contacts that gives it access to a wide pool of vehicles at trade prices.

How the service works

The process has four steps. The customer submits an enquiry by phone or via a form; the team reviews the requirements and searches for the most suitable vehicle; once found, they send images for approval; and finally the car is delivered to the buyer's door. The company states that all vehicles are HPI checked and offered at trade prices.

What you can order

The service covers any make and any budget. The enquiry form captures details such as the size or type of car, fuel, mileage, colour and an approximate budget, with indicative bands ranging from £3,500 to over £20,000. The company also handles multi-vehicle purchases, warranties on all cars and the option to part exchange a used vehicle as part of the payment.

Origins and approach

The company explains that its activity grew out of informal requests from friends and family looking for a reliable car without visiting dealerships or trawling through adverts. Over time, these requests led to the creation of a service open to customers nationwide, aimed at those who want to avoid negotiating on forecourts and secure a favourable price.

Customer experiences

The site includes testimonials from buyers describing deliveries within one to two weeks, budgets being met and, in some cases, specifications better than those offered by local dealers. The accounts mention specific orders, such as a Vectra replaced by an Insignia SRi or a Saab 93, and cases of customers buying from abroad. The company is also listed on Trustpilot.

Partner network

National Car Finder lists among its partners Chimera Studio, National Van Finder, BNI Synergy, LAMP, Ele Print and Warranty First, and links to industry resources such as The AA and RAC.
