JBS Marines Mail Order Corals

JBS Marines Mail Order Corals: coral frags and live foods for reef aquariums

JBS Marines Mail Order Corals is a UK-based online store dedicated to the mail order sale of coral frags and live foods for marine reef aquariums. The company states that it has been growing and selling frags for fifteen years, and that the corals it sells are grown on its own premises so that they arrive tank-ready.

Coral catalogue

The coral range is organised into several families and formats. The catalogue includes its own zoanthid line (Jbs Zoa Range), soft coral frags, hard coral frags and SPS frags. It also offers coral packs and individual live coral pieces. The store highlights its WYSIWYG format, meaning the buyer receives exactly the piece shown in the listing photograph.

According to the company's own presentation, it keeps thousands of frags in stock, with a variety of both soft corals and SPS, and always aims to have a wide selection available.

Live foods and other products

Alongside corals, the business sells a wide range of live foods, which it makes fresh every day. The catalogue is completed by other product categories: live food culture kits, syringes, hermit crab shells, live rock, additives and treatments, and fragging equipment. Mangroves and Caulerpa are also listed, as well as a critters section and coral packs.

Regular auctions

The store holds weekly coral and live food auctions on Sunday nights and Thursday nights, offering zoanthids and frags. The company encourages customers to take part and to email it with any questions about how to place an order.

Shipping and purchase conditions

Shipping is limited to the UK and Northern Ireland. Coral delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with other dates available on request. The site indicated a shipping cost of £13.99 per order, with no limit on the number of corals, and free shipping on orders over £150. The store offers secure online payment.

Informational content

The site includes its own articles on marine fishkeeping, including pieces on the ecological and biological importance of live foods in an established reef aquarium and on how to choose the right live foods for a reef tank.
