Memorials Direct

Memorials Direct: personalised granite memorials with UK delivery

Memorials Direct is a UK-based online shop that designs and sells personalised memorials, mainly in granite, for grave tributes, memorial benches and remembrance spaces. The company presents itself as the number one online destination for memorials, a claim taken from its own business description.

The catalogue is organised into several product families: granite memorials, engraved plaques, granite vases, vase and plaque combinations, tablets, headstones, two-name memorials, pet memorials, urns, artificial flowers, benches and accessories. Personalisation is at the heart of the offer: customers can choose the design, the text and, in many cases, add an engraved portrait.

Granite memorials and engraved plaques

The granite range includes engraved plaques, photo plaques, vases, vase and plaque combinations, tablets and headstones. Standout models include polished black granite tablets with free personalised gold engraving and a variety of designs: floral border, engraved photo, Islamic design, book design, sunflower, praying hands or candle. Also available are slanted black granite memorial tables with a vase, with the option of an engraved photo and free gold engraving, and two-name versions.

Granite plaques come with flower, rose, cross or heart designs and allow a portrait and personalised text to be added. Catalogue prices start at £64.99 for the simplest plaques and go up to £349.99 for tablets with an engraved photo. Solid granite vases include free personalised gold engraving and a metal flower insert, with prices from £149.99. Solid granite vase and plaque combinations, measuring 16x6x6 inches and weighing 20 kg, include a flower insert and cost £299.99, with variants that add a portrait.

Pet memorials

The company has a dedicated collection of memorials for dogs and cats, including granite plaques, photo memorials and designs intended for the garden or a special place. The collection is presented as a way to remember a much-loved companion.

Urns, flowers and accessories

The catalogue is completed with urns in various materials —Arboform, biodegradable, ceramic, marble, metal, wood— and formats such as candle holders, cuddle stones, hearts and stars, infant urns and jewellery urns. Artificial flowers and ceramics for graves, memorial benches, wooden planters and accessories such as a mahogany stand are also available.

Ordering and delivery process

The shop guides customers through a step-by-step guide to personalise their memorial. It offers three UK delivery options: priority in 1-2 days, express in 2-4 days and standard in 5-8 days from £4.99. Customer service is available Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, on 0121 798 2757.

Company background

According to its own presentation, Memorials Direct began when its founders could not find a memorial that truly honoured a loved one, so they designed and engraved one themselves. The company states it has years of experience and uses quality materials and professional engraving to create lasting tributes.
