Assassin Goods: adjustable dumbbells and strength equipment for the home gym

Assassin Goods is a British retailer specialising in strength training equipment for home use. Its catalogue is built around the Stealth range of adjustable dumbbells, complemented by benches, stands, kettlebells, bars, plates, accessories and storage solutions. The company operates from a warehouse in Penrith, Cumbria, and distributes both in the UK and the European Union through a dedicated store for the European market.

The Stealth range of adjustable dumbbells

The core product of Assassin Goods is the Stealth adjustable dumbbells, available in four editions that differ by weight range, plate type, expansion options and warranty. The company states it has sold more than 10,000 units of this range.

• Core Edition: range from 2 to 40 kg, 2 kg increments and up to 20 weights. Uses plates with moulded inserts, is not expandable and comes with a 24-month warranty. Includes a storage base.
• Chrome Gen 5: range from 4 to 41.5 kg, 1.5 kg increments and up to 26 weights. Chrome metal plates, expandable up to 41.5 kg and with warranty upgradeable to lifetime. It is on clearance due to the arrival of Gen 6.
• Chrome Gen 6: range from 4 to 41.5 kg, 1.5 kg increments and up to 26 weights. Chrome metal plates, expandable without tools via a drop-in system, from 23.5 kg to 41.5 kg, and with warranty upgradeable to lifetime.
• Black Edition: range from 4 to 41.5 kg, 1.5 kg increments and up to 26 weights. Machined plates with replaceable inserts, not expandable (you buy the maximum weight directly) and with warranty upgradeable to lifetime. The company presents it as the quietest option with the tightest tolerances.

The catalogue shows prices ranging from £399 for the Core Edition to £499 for the Black Edition, with discounts applied on some editions. The dumbbells allow you to change weight in about three seconds using a dial, with no pins or collars.
