Kitchenology, German kitchens and appliances in Penarth

Kitchenology is a family-run business based in Penarth (Vale of Glamorgan, Wales) dedicated to the design and installation of high-quality kitchens, with a particular focus on German-made kitchens. The company presents itself as a specialist in appliances, kitchens and bathrooms, and highlights its product knowledge, customer service and value for money. Its commercial proposition includes five-year interest-free finance on all its projects, which it describes as "affordable luxury".

History: from Radiocraft to Kitchenology

The business has been trading for more than 75 years. It began in 1949 as Radiocraft, on Cowbridge Road East, in the Canton area of Cardiff, where it initially operated as a television and audio shop. Over the years it evolved into a Euronics appliance centre. In 2020 it moved to Penarth to focus on kitchens and interiors for other rooms, changing its trading name to Vale Kitchen Studio. The current name, Kitchenology, belongs to its most recent stage, now established on Windsor Road.

Kitchen design and free service

The company offers a free design service and has a wide range of kitchens and appliances on display so that customers can see them. Its main kitchen suppliers are the German manufacturer Nobilia, which the firm describes as the largest kitchen manufacturer in Europe, and Ashley Ann, aimed at those looking for a more traditional style. In addition, the company announces that it will be adding other brands.

Appliance and technology brands

Kitchenology works closely with a group of technology and appliance brands that it displays and demonstrates in store, including Bora, Neff, Siemens, Bosch, Sony, Samsung and LG. The company notes that it also sells other brands and that, if a product does not appear on its website, customers can ask about availability.
