One Stop Hoop Shop, hula hoop-making supplies in the UK

One Stop Hoop Shop is a British online shop born out of its founder Tamsin's passion for hooping. The project began after she found how difficult it was to find affordable, easily available supplies for making handmade hula hoops, and it is conceived as a single place to bring together hoops and hoop-making materials for the international hooping community.

The shop is aimed both at those who practise hoop dance and fitness and need batches of hoops for their classes, and at those who want to make their own hoops, give them as gifts or start a hula hoop-making business.

Catalogue: hoops, tubing and accessories

The catalogue is organised into several product families:

The coloured polypropylene tubing sold by the shop is made in the UK, according to the site's own presentation. Products added at various times include a new pink PVC tape, the OSHS YES! Hoop line and the Mini Twins.

International orders and the effects of Brexit

The shop states that, following the UK's departure from the European Union on 1 January 2021, international orders must be sent by email to its contact address. It also warns EU customers that their customs departments may apply import taxes and other charges, which are beyond the shop's control.

Content and community around hooping

The site keeps a hoop news section and a subscription called the One Stop Hoop Shop Circle, which gives access to exclusive offers and hoop-making content. It also includes tutorials and a page about its eco-efforts.

The founder also documents a personal project, Hula HQ, based around a restored 1950s British Welton Tuareg vehicle.
