Black Country Metal Works

Black Country Metal Works combines a home-and-garden catalog with a visitor destination outside Oswestry, Shropshire. Metal appears in everyday objects and larger decorative pieces, from fireplace accessories to sculptures and outdoor structures. Visitors can approach the company to purchase a specific item or explore its indoor and outdoor spaces.

The fireplace section brings together guards, screens, tool sets, bellows, shovels, and maintenance products. Log stores, baskets, coal buckets, and ash containers organize materials around the fire. The selection combines traditional and contemporary forms, iron designs, metallic finishes, and pieces selected by function and size.

Lighting spans lamp posts, outdoor wall fixtures, porch lanterns, and lights for pillars or entrances. Indoor options include table, ceiling, wall, and floor lamps. Victorian, Gothic, nautical, and urban families help define a façade or room’s style, while brackets and accessories complete the chosen installation.

Wall, gate, freestanding, and parcel mailboxes sit alongside house-name signs and numbers. Door and window hardware, shelf brackets, and stair fittings extend the functional catalog. Sign personalization and custom-design services introduce another way of working, different from choosing an in-stock piece.

The garden selection includes benches, tables, tree seats, rose arches, pergolas, and pavilions. Sundials, armillary spheres, weather vanes, fountains, and bird feeders add decorative elements. Sculptures span wildlife, birds, flowers, mythical figures, and contemporary silhouettes, with pieces that can become an outdoor space’s visual focus.

The location is at Whitehall Estate, Aston, Oswestry, beside the A5 road. A visit includes a sculpture park and display spaces, with day tickets and annual memberships; parking has a separate charge. Discovery trails, an outdoor play area, a sandpit, and scooter rental support family activities, alongside children’s food options.

Dogs can explore the sculpture park on a leash but cannot enter indoor spaces. The company provides accessible parking, ramps, and wheelchair rental. Many products can be seen on-site; made-to-order pieces are not necessarily displayed. That distinction separates a walk through the grounds from a visit intended to compare a particular model.
