PR Solar Window Film Ltd

Window films for homes and businesses across the UK

PR Solar Window Film Ltd is a British company specialising in the supply and installation of window films. Its work serves both private homes and commercial premises and institutional buildings, covering installations throughout the UK. The firm states it has been active in the sector since 2000 and offers guarantees of up to ten years on its installations.

The process begins with a visit to the customer to measure and assess their needs, followed by a demonstration of the different types of film available and a no-obligation quotation. The company states that these visits are free and that it travels at the customer's convenience.

Residential window film range

The residential range includes solutions designed for specific household problems, such as excess heat, lack of privacy or protection for people and objects. The options it offers include:

• Solar film, to reduce heat and glare without sacrificing natural light.
• Skylight and conservatory roof film, aimed at spaces that build up high temperatures.
• Privacy film and frosted film, which the company presents as an alternative to net curtains.
• Frosted film specifically for bathrooms and kitchens.
• Energy-saving film, which helps insulate the glass.
• Safety film and security film, to strengthen the glass.
• UV protection film.
• Mirrored film.

Solutions for businesses, schools and public buildings

In the commercial sector, the company installs solar control, frosted, mirrored, safety, UV and skylight films. It also offers blackout film and bomb blast film, aimed at the safety of people and property.

A specific part of its range is manifestation film for glass, which the company designs and installs to help businesses comply with health and safety regulations by making glass more visible and safer. It also has a line of films for schools and colleges.

Window film vs blinds

The company argues that window film is more effective than blinds at controlling temperature: in its explanation, film reflects heat at the glass and keeps the room at a more stable temperature, while blinds let heat in through the sides. It also notes that film is a significantly cheaper option.

Customer reviews

The site includes Google reviews with five-star ratings. The comments mention solar film installations on skylights, bifold doors and conservatory roofs, and describe specific improvements, such as a reduction of around six degrees in the temperature of a garden office during hot days. Several customers highlight Paul's service, the professionalism of the work and his willingness to return on another day to complete the installation when necessary.
