Nordic Essentials UK

Nordic Essentials UK: Scandinavian-inspired lighting and furniture

Nordic Essentials UK is a UK-based online store that sells a curated collection of lamps, furniture and decorative objects in Scandinavian and Japandi style. Its catalogue is organised around four main categories: lighting, furniture, home decor and essentials. The brand's approach focuses on creating serene home environments through warm, diffused light, natural textures and minimalist-lined pieces.

Lighting: from travertine sconces to table lamps

Lighting is the largest part of the range. The store offers travertine and wood wall sconces, smoked glass sconces, brushed brass sconces with frosted glass, adjustable linear sconces with a reading spotlight, and outdoor sconces with PIR motion sensor and IP65 protection. For ceilings, the catalogue includes Nordic-style pendant lights in metal, wood, hand-woven bamboo, smoked glass and travertine, as well as dome, cylindrical and adjustable-line versions. There are also table and floor lamps: cordless table models with battery and touch control in brass, dimmable ceramic table lamps, wooden tripod floor lamps, floor lamps with a cylindrical fabric shade and rice paper floor lamps. For outdoor and garden use, waterproof rattan solar lanterns and LED outdoor wall lights with up-and-down light are available.

Furniture and storage for hallways and living rooms

The furniture section brings together storage pieces and auxiliary surfaces. These include a natural oak shoe cabinet with six shelves, a rustic five-tier shelving unit in wood and iron, a five-tier corner shelf in wood and metal, a narrow side table with oak effect, a round wooden coffee table with two-tier storage and a wooden wall coat rack with flip hooks. The selection is completed by wooden wall clocks, including silent and Roman numeral models.

Textile decor and kitchen accessories

In textiles, the store offers 100% wool throws with fringing and 100% cotton throws with a mandala print. For the kitchen, the catalogue includes stainless steel single-lever taps with a filtered water outlet and pull-out spray, kitchen taps with a 360° swivel spout in brushed nickel and a wooden utensil set with a holder comprising spoons and spatulas.

Shipping, warranty and environmental commitment

The company states that it offers free shipping on all orders to the UK and Ireland, 30-day returns and a 12-month warranty. Payments are processed through SSL-protected forms. Nordic Essentials UK also declares its collaboration with Ecologi to fund reforestation, ecosystem restoration and carbon removal projects, planting one tree for every item purchased.

Editorial content: the Nordic Living Journal

The store maintains an articles section called the Nordic Living Journal, with practical guides on decor and lighting. Topics published include choosing wall clocks for the living room, lighting kitchens with low ceilings, the right size for pendant lights, creating warm atmospheres at nightfall, using natural textures to add warmth to bedrooms, and lighting living rooms and bedrooms with layered warm light.
