About Leather Centre
Bespoke upholstered furniture made in our own workshop
Leather Centre is a British bespoke furniture manufacturer working for both the hospitality sector and private clients. The company states that it makes every piece from scratch in its own UK workshop and has been operating for over 25 years since 1999, with more than a thousand projects completed according to its own presentation.
Its offering is divided into two distinct lines: one aimed at restaurants, bars, hotels and catering venues, and another for homes. In both cases the starting point is the client's space, as the furniture is built to the centimetre to fit irregular gaps, curved walls or unconventional layouts.
Furniture for hospitality and high-traffic spaces
The contract division covers banquette and booth seating, armchairs, bar stools, chairs and sofas, as well as complete tables with tops and bases, wall panels and interior cladding, and custom joinery. The company describes these products as contract-grade, designed to withstand intensive use in venues with high footfall.
Among the materials recommended for restaurants are contract-grade fabrics tested to Martindale with over 100,000 cycles, stain-resistant velvets, faux leathers and options with Crib 5 fire-retardant treatment. The company states that it does not apply a strict minimum order and works with venues of very different sizes, from small restaurants to hotel chains.
Home collection
For homes, the catalogue includes sofas and corner sofas, benches and banquettes, headboards, upholstered beds, ottomans, dining and coffee tables, stools and chairs, armchairs and wall panels. The company allows you to define shape, size, fabric, finish, legs and type of stitching, and offers a materials library with over a hundred fabrics, leathers and finishes to choose from.
Working process
The method described by the company is organised into five phases: initial consultation about the space and needs, advice on dimensions, materials and finishes, preparation of a detailed specification that the client approves, handcrafted construction in the workshop, and delivery and installation. The firm offers to send fabric and leather samples before formalising the order.
The stated lead times vary according to complexity and workshop workload: between four and six weeks for residential pieces and between six and ten weeks for commercial orders. Delivery is available throughout the UK and, for larger commercial orders, includes on-site installation.
Materials and construction
The company maintains that all its frames are made from solid wood and that every stitch is placed by hand. It works with Italian leathers and fabrics from selected suppliers, and insists on the contrast with mass-produced furniture, which does not adapt to specific measurements or allow every detail to be customised.
Reviews and commercial response
The site includes a 5 out of 5 rating on Google and Trustpilot, with testimonials from a barbershop and private individuals highlighting the communication during the process, the sending of samples and the delivery times. The company states that it responds to quote requests within one to three working days.
