Zed Roof Cleaning: roof cleaning and repair in Nottingham

Zed Roof Cleaning is a family-run business based in Nottingham that provides roof cleaning and maintenance services in Nottingham and the nearby towns of Mansfield, Belper, Newark on Trent, Derby, Grantham, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray and Leicester. The company states that it has been operating for more than five years and has completed 900 projects.

Roof cleaning and treatment services

The main service consists of a full roof clean, including the gutters, to remove dirt, moss, lichen and algae. The company applies an anti-fungal treatment across the entire surface to kill the micro-roots and then applies two coats of 100% acrylic, fungicidal-quality waterproof coating. According to the company, this process not only improves the appearance of the roof but also extends the lifespan of the tiles and reduces the risk of costly repairs.

Tile and gutter repair

In addition to cleaning, Zed Roof Cleaning replaces broken, missing or suspect tiles with new matching tiles. It also cleans gutters, leaving them free of leaves, twigs, dust and other debris so that the water drainage system works properly. The company warns that clogged gutters can encourage pests, cause leaks and even flood the foundations.

Working method and safety

The company states that it has experience in the safe use of pressure washers on different types of tiles. In its FAQ responses, it notes that pressure washing carried out by professionals does not damage tiles, since roofs that need cleaning are usually 20 to 30 years old or more and have lost their original protective seal. It adds that most roofs have a layer of felt under the tiles that protects the building from leaks, and that they assess the condition of the roof before starting work in order to clean it safely.
