Deakin and Peck Flooring, flooring installation in Northampton and surrounding areas

Deakin and Peck Flooring is a family-run company specialising in the supply and installation of flooring, operating in Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bedford and nearby areas. Its directors, Lee Peck and Chris Deakin, have over twenty years of combined experience in the industry; Peck comes from a family of floor installers. The company states that its growth has come mainly through personal recommendations from customers.

Types of flooring supplied and installed

The company works with several product families and says it selects materials from high-quality suppliers, tailored to each customer's budget. Its service catalogue includes:

• Carpet: natural or synthetic fibres, plain, patterned or striped, and various pile heights.
• Laminate wood: hard-wearing and easy to clean, with wood-effect finishes and colours; aimed at living rooms, dining rooms and hallways.
• LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile): a durable alternative to tiled and solid wood flooring, allowing designs to be created with individual planks and tiles.
• Vinyl and vinyl tiles: hard flooring designed for wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and en-suites.

Home visit, measuring and advice

The process begins with an expert visiting the customer's home or premises to choose the right flooring solution. During that appointment, rooms are accurately measured to reduce material waste and adjust the price, and advice is given on flooring types, underlays and complementary accessories such as gripper and door bars. The appointment is arranged at a time convenient for the customer.

Guarantees and project management

The company maintains that its installation is carried out to high standards, so that the floor lasts for the entire useful life of the chosen material. The products used come with a manufacturer's wear guarantee of at least five years, and some also include stain or scratch resistance; details are provided during the quotation process. Deakin and Peck Flooring offers free quotations and manages the project from start to finish, with no apparent limitation on the size of the job.

The team states it has specific training in the sector: NVQ Level 2 in floor coverings, FloorSkills Level 1 in LVT, subfloor preparation and the FloorSkills LVT click course. The company operates with company number 11777788 and has its registered business address at 1 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Toddington, LU5 6EH. The company accepts debit and credit card payments.
