Vector Air

Vector Air: Airgun retailer and importer in Newark

Vector Air is a gun shop specialising in airguns and shooting sports based in Boughton, Newark (Nottinghamshire). The company presents itself as a modern establishment certified as an RFD (Registered Firearms Dealer), focused on high-performance air rifles, PCPs, springers, and associated equipment. Its service area covers the East Midlands, South Yorkshire, and much of England and Wales, with home delivery across the UK.

The shop explicitly describes itself as "not a traditional gun shop" and focuses its offering on contemporary products rather than classic-style guns. In addition to airguns, it sells a selection of airsoft replicas, consumables, and accessories.

Brands distributed and imported

Vector Air acts as a UK importer and retailer for several international brands, and as a distributor or stockist for others. The company gives each brand its own profile within its catalogue:

• Vector Optics: Chinese-made optics at affordable prices, aimed at tactical use.
• Airgun Technology (AGT): Czech-made PCP rifles, introduced to the UK market by Vector Air in 2021.
• KalibrGun: a pioneer manufacturer of the bullpup format, with precision rifles.
• EPIC Airguns: mechanical airguns with a modular, adjustable design.
• APOLLO Gear: affordable shooting accessories such as gun bags, bipods, targets, and trigger locks.

The company also identifies itself as a "Premier Stockist" of UMAREX, Hill Air Pumps, Theoben / RAW, DNT / ARKEN, and ALIAS.

Shipping and regulatory compliance

Vector Air presents itself as one of the few UK airgun retailers able to legally deliver VCRA-restricted items to your home, with applicable restrictions. For non-restricted items such as airsoft and accessories, it offers nationwide delivery. The company emphasises its knowledge of UK legal requirements and the safe, lawful handling of restricted items.

Customer profile and shop services

The company targets target shooters, pest controllers, and airsoft enthusiasts. In addition to sales, it provides practical advice, guidance on setting up equipment, and after-sales support. The team includes a shop and service department led by Karl, with more than twenty years of experience in the gun trade.

The site also includes resources for the British public, such as a map of UK RFDs and a list of nearby gun ranges.

Recent activity and content

The shop maintains a blog with news and staff picks. In the September post, the team highlighted a gallery of moving targets, a shooting stick, a heavyweight rest, and a reflex sight with flip-to-side 3x magnifier, as well as the expansion into premium knives and the arrival of a batch of APOLLO products. The company noted that its last shipment of EPIC VISION had almost completely sold out before the next one arrived.
