Shutters By Design

Made-to-measure interior shutters in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire

Shutters By Design is a family-run business with over 25 years' experience installing interior shutters and blinds. Its work focuses on supplying and fitting made-to-measure solutions for windows and doors, with a commercial presence in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. The company presents itself as a specialist in the catalogue of the British brand S:CRAFT.

The service begins with a visit to the customer's home: a specialist arrives with a full range of product samples to explain the benefits of shutters and advise on the most suitable design for each home. The company handles both measuring and fitting, with the stated aim of guaranteeing a precise fit.

Types of shutters

The shutter catalogue covers a wide range of configurations, designed to suit different types of opening and different light and privacy needs:

• Bay window shutters.
• Café style shutters, which allow light to enter while providing discrete levels of privacy.
• Conservatory shutters, to make the most of the room all year round.
• French door shutters, which seek visual continuity between windows and doors.
• Full height shutters.
• Shaped shutters, made to measure for arched, angled and circular windows.
• Shutter & Shade room darkening shutters.
• Skylight shutters, which filter glare or allow you to see the sky.
• Solid panel shutters.
• Tier-on-tier shutters.
• Track shutters, designed to make better use of space.
• Wardrobe door shutters, made to blend in with the interior style.

Blinds and motorised options

In addition to shutters, the company offers made-to-measure blinds, including perfect fit, vision, pleated, wood and conservatory models. These blinds can be fully motorised and integrated with smart home devices and mobile apps. The motorised option is also available for shutters and includes a handset and an app that allow them to be operated remotely.

Solutions by room

The catalogue is also organised according to the use of each space. For the living room, made-to-measure shutters are offered; for the kitchen, functional and easy-clean models; for the bathroom, waterproof versions that maintain privacy without blocking light; and for the bedroom, solutions aimed at improving rest.

Materials, finishes and warranty

Made-to-measure shutters are available in a wide variety of materials, colours and finishes, with louvre and colour options. The company states that its made-to-measure shutters come with a three-year manufacturer's warranty.

Showroom and coverage

The company has a showroom at 36 Hospital Street in Nantwich, where the public can see a wide range of S:CRAFT shutters in person. Its work is aimed at homes in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
