Gunpla UK

Gunpla UK, British Gundam model kit shop

Gunpla UK is a UK retailer dedicated to selling Gundam plastic model kits — known as Gunpla — and modelling supplies. Its catalogue focuses on Bandai kits and the main hobby lines, from simple builds to large-scale, highly detailed models.

Bandai model kit lines in the catalogue

The shop organises its range around several Bandai product families:

• 30 Minutes Missions (30MM): original sci-fi series with robots, weapons, vehicles and optional parts, designed for fast assembly and modular customisation. Includes factions such as Earth Alliance, Byron Forces and Maxion Army.
• 30 Minutes Fantasy (30MF): fantasy-themed line with articulated base bodies and classes such as knights, paladins, samurai, assassins, rangers, mages and dark warriors.
• 30 Minutes Preference (30MP): licensed character kits from anime, video games, music and entertainment.
• 30 Minutes Sisters (30MS): anime-style figures with articulated bodies, interchangeable faces, hairstyles and clothing and armour sets.
• 30MM – Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon: licensed recreations of the mechs from the FromSoftware video game, with models such as Steel Haze, Nightfall, Loader 4, Melander, Melander C3, Orbiter, VP-40S and Locksmith.
• BB, SD and SDW: super-deformed kits, including the SD Gundam World Heroes line.
• Entry Grade 1/144: beginner model kits at 1/144 scale, with simple assembly and limited articulation.
• High Grade 1/144 (HG): kits with a greater range of motion and poseability than no-grade lines.
• Real Grade 1/144 (RG): realistic line in detail and colour, with an Advanced MS Joint internal frame.
• Master Grade 1/100 (MG): 1/100 scale model kits with higher standards than High Grade.
• RE/100 and FM 1/100: Reborn-One Hundred and Full Mechanics kits at 1/100 scale.
• Perfect Grade 1/60: large-scale, high-detail series, originating in 1997.

Assembly, customisation and compatibility

Much of the catalogue relies on Bandai's glue-free snap-fit assembly system and universal joint compatibility, allowing parts to be swapped between kits in the same family. The 30 Minutes lines are designed to be assembled in around half an hour and support kitbashing and customisation projects with interchangeable weapons, armour, hairstyles, faces and accessories.

Audience and shop approach

The range covers both those new to modelling and experienced hobbyists and collectors. The site presents itself as a small UK business and encourages buying from it to support a local company.
