Low Cost Car Rental

Low Cost Car Rental: vehicle rental for personnel at Lakenheath and Mildenhall bases

Low Cost Car Rental (LCCR) is a car rental company based in Mildenhall, in the English county of Suffolk. Its activity is aimed at personnel stationed at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Feltwell bases, for whom it offers what the company itself describes as a low-cost alternative for having a vehicle, with rental rates from £55 per week.

The company presents itself as an option for temporary or transitional needs: short stays, recent arrivals to the area or periods when one's own vehicle is in the workshop. The fleet is designed so that USAFE members can get on the road quickly, and the company states that it handles both one-off rental enquiries and requests through its booking form.

Rates and loyalty programme

In addition to rental prices, LCCR maintains a loyalty programme with rewards for repeat customers and for those who recommend the company. Among the incentives listed on the website are a £75 voucher, free rental weeks, a free oil change, meals at local restaurants, a free wheel rotation and a free MOT for the customer's car. The programme requires prior registration.

Vehicles and related services

The company offers automatic and manual vehicles, and its catalogue includes purchase options for those who prefer to move from renting to owning. Through its sister company, AirForce Auto Sales, it sells cars with warranty, service and MOT for life, and offers 0% interest finance on selected models.
