Levitex

Levitex, pillows and accessories for sleeping posture

Levitex is a British brand specialising in sleep products with a focus on nighttime posture. Its catalogue is built around the Sleep Posture Pillow, the Pillow Topper Slice, the Side Sleeper Wedge and the Comfort Roll, as well as the Anywhere Travel Pillow. The company presents itself as a brand that looks after spinal health during rest and states that its products help to achieve and maintain an optimal posture while sleeping.

Origin and clinical approach

The founder, James Leinhardt, has more than ten years of experience working with patients with severe injuries, chronic illnesses and people recovering from illness. He noticed that posture is not addressed during the night and took his idea to Dr Ilan Lieberman, a consultant in pain medicine, which led to the creation of Levitex. The brand defines itself as a team of sleep posture experts with the mission of educating about the importance of nighttime posture and providing tools to improve it.

Products and technology

The catalogue includes the Sleep Posture Pillow, designed to provide support and comfort during the night, priced at £80.00. The Slice, presented as the world's first Pillow Topper, is made with patented Levitex Foam technology and retails at £29.00; it can be used as an addition on top of an existing pillow, to add height to the Sleep Posture Pillow, as side sleeper support, to rejuvenate old pillows or as a travel companion. The Side Sleeper Wedge, from £59.00, is described as a versatile piece of sleep kit. The Comfort Roll, originally part of the Hugga Sleep System (a Class 1 medical device), sells for £85.00. The company also offers the Anywhere Travel Pillow.

Benefits the brand attributes to optimal posture

According to the company's own information, adopting and maintaining an optimal posture during rest can improve digestion and circulation, reduce snoring and lessen tension in the neck and shoulders, as well as waking up without neck or back pain and increasing energy levels and core strength. The brand classifies different sleeping postures as provocative (The Heavy Lifter, The Hedgehog, The Applauder, The Wrestler, The Starfish, The Yogi) or optimal (The Dreamer, The Soldier), and uses this classification to guide the choice of its products.

Levitex offers free UK delivery on orders over £60, a 44-night trial and free returns. The online store allows you to select country and currency, with the United Kingdom and pound sterling as the main option. The company also sells its products through stockists.
