Lotus Surveyors Ltd: residential surveying services in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire

Lotus Surveyors Ltd is a residential surveying services company operating in the Lincoln, Louth, Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Doncaster areas. The company is regulated by RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and offers a wide range of services in addition to standard RICS reports.

Types of surveys and advice

The company advises on the most suitable type of survey for each property, with a no-overselling approach. Quotes are tailored to each property to allow the necessary time to carry out the survey. The company states that it does not oversell services and takes the time to understand the client's needs.

Team and working methodology

Lotus Surveyors Ltd presents itself as a small but experienced team. Their goal is to deliver the final report within three working days, faster than other companies. They attribute this speed to the fact that the surveyor who carries out the survey writes the report, without the need for a heavy back office.

The management team consists of Jenny Bone, Surveying Director, and Graham Harris, Administrative Director. Jenny Bone is a building surveyor with 18 years of experience. She previously worked as a mechanical engineer and then as an insurance surveyor, later moving into building control. She also worked for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) writing standards. Graham Harris has worked in administration since 2004 and previously worked at the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Memberships and regulation

The company is regulated by RICS and is a member of CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) and CABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers).
