Sappany Soaps
Small March, Cambridgeshire brand offering handmade soaps, body care, and scented home products.
About Sappany Soaps
Sappany Soaps began in 2020 in March, Cambridgeshire, with a household concern: Tanya started making soap for herself, friends, and family after becoming curious about the ingredients in mass-produced cosmetics. That small-scale project gradually added other personal-care formulas and grew into an online shop for handmade products.
Bar soap remains at the center of the range, with scented varieties and fragrance-free options. Product pages feature combinations such as lemon and honey, lemon and orange, lime, strawberry and cream, and a facial bar with tea tree, lavender, and peppermint. Each recipe has its own ingredient list, so choosing a bar comes down to the scent and formula a customer is looking for.
The brand says some bars are made using cold- or hot-process methods, traditional techniques that turn fats and lye into soap through saponification. Oils listed in its formulas include coconut, shea, and olive; certain recipes add goat’s milk, honey, essential oils, or exfoliants. The shop notes that its hand-cut bars may vary slightly in size and appearance.
The collection extends to everyday body-care products: body scrub bars, vegan deodorants, hand balms, moisturizing bars, and lip balms. Sappany also offers facial soap in specific sizes and blends. The vegan label applies to the products the shop identifies that way, not necessarily to the entire range; checking each item’s ingredients helps distinguish the formulas.
The range goes beyond the bathroom. The shop also carries pillow mists, soy-wax candles, wax melts, and incense, extending the brand into home fragrance. That mix makes some products suitable as gifts, while the soaps and balms serve daily routines. Some items are packaged simply in cotton or paper bags.
Sappany tells its story as a family-run venture focused on small-batch production and labels printed and cut by hand. The company says its products are free of SLS and parabens and that it registers its cosmetics with the UK Cosmetic Products Notification Portal and can trace ingredients to their source. These are the brand’s stated practices; customers with allergies or sensitivities should review the ingredient list for each formula.
From March, Sappany sells online through its own catalog, operating more like a small-scale maker than a mass-market cosmetics boutique. Product pages show ingredients and features for each item, and the company accepts inquiries by email. For shoppers looking for handmade soap, its distinguishing features are the range of recipes and its personal scale of production.
