Mansfield Garage Doors is a family-run company based in the centre of Mansfield (Nottinghamshire) that has been operating since 1968 in the supply, installation and repair of all types of garage doors. The firm presents itself as the genuine Mansfield Garage Doors, in contrast to other companies that advertise themselves as local, and states it has 58 years of experience in the sector. It is a member of the Trading Standards 'Buy with Confidence' programme.

Services: installation, repair and maintenance

In addition to installation, Mansfield Garage Doors offers repairs and spare parts, and a garage door service plan. The company promotes the annual service as a way to prevent unexpected failures by identifying wear and tear and minor problems. It also publishes informative content on topics such as automating older doors, the cost of electric doors in the UK, manual opening in the event of a power cut or choosing door styles.

Showroom and buying process

The company invites customers to visit its extensive showroom to see and try the different types, styles, materials, finishes and colours available, rather than deciding solely from a catalogue image. Once the right type of door has been established, a free home survey is arranged to measure up and provide a no-obligation quote. Surveys booked directly over the telephone incur a charge of £25, which is refunded if the job goes ahead. The buying process described includes the showroom visit, the survey, the quote, a 30% deposit and subsequent installation.
