About LilaConnect
LilaConnect: full fibre with symmetric upload and download speeds
LilaConnect is a full-fibre broadband operator serving the UK residential market. Its proposition rests on three pillars: upload speeds identical to download speeds, a pricing policy with no hidden charges, and a switching service managed entirely by the company. The company operates under the name LilaConnect Limited and sells its plans through its website, where customers check availability at their address before signing up.
Symmetric plans from 150 Mb to 2.5 Gb
The residential lineup is organised into four tariffs, all with the same upload and download speed and free installation on 24-month contracts:
- 150 Mb: designed for light-use households, includes a standard router.
- 1 Gb: a mid-range option for homes with simultaneous streaming, remote working and gaming, with a standard router.
- 1 Gb Pro: same speed as the previous plan but with a Wi-Fi 7 router.
- 2.5 Gb Pro: the highest-capacity tariff, also with Wi-Fi 7, aimed at homes with many connected devices.
The company emphasises that a high upload speed improves tasks such as live streaming, online gaming, broadcasting, uploading large files and the operation of connected cameras and smart home devices. The Wi-Fi 7 routers on the Pro plans feature dual-band capability and are made from 90% recycled plastics, according to the website.
Fixed price until 2030 with Price Lock
All plans are subject to an annual increase of £3.50 from the service start date. Those who wish can add the Price Lock option for £2.50 a month, which removes that annual increase for the following four years as long as they renew on the same plan. The company presents this as a way to fix the price until 2030 and avoid bill surprises.
Managed switching and penalty reimbursement
LilaConnect handles the cancellation with the previous provider through the One Touch Switch mechanism, which the customer selects during the purchase process. The company notifies the outgoing operator of the cancellation and coordinates the switch date with the chosen installation, so that service is not interrupted. It also offers up to £300 in bill credit to cover early termination penalties from the previous contract, provided the customer is a new residential customer on a 24-month contract and provides proof of the penalty within 30 days of installation.
Add-ons to configure your home setup
During the purchase process, customers can add extras such as Wi-Fi boosters or voice and IP options. These add-ons cost £5 for one, £8 for two and £10 for three.
Existing customers and account management
The company has a customer portal for viewing and paying bills, changing plans and managing payment methods. Customers with an account created before September 2025 must activate the new access using the email address and account number associated with their account. For users on 250 Mbps or 500 Mbps plans, there is a speed upgrade programme to the next tier up for £2.50 a month for the duration of the current contract, with the option to opt out of the upgrade by giving 30 days' written notice.
Customer reviews and price comparison
The website displays an 'Excellent' rating on Trustpilot based on speed of installation, reliability of speeds and clarity of pricing. Savings claims are based on a comparison of tariffs from April 2026: over 24 months, the 1 Gigabit plan would cost £761.76, which according to the company represents a saving of £198 compared with BT and EE and £54 compared with Virgin Media and Plusnet.
