Park Glass

Park Glass, a family-run glass merchant in Maidstone (Kent)

Park Glass is a family-run business based in Maidstone, in the English county of Kent, operating since 1983 and now spanning two generations. It presents itself as a local glass and glazing supplier serving both the general public and the trade, with a range that goes from a single replacement pane to a full set of windows for a house.

The company states that it maintains long-standing relationships with customers and suppliers, which, according to its own presentation, has made it an established firm with a large and loyal customer base. Its premises are on the Parkwood Industrial Estate, about five minutes from Maidstone town centre and the same distance from junctions 7 and 8 of the M20 motorway.

Made-to-measure glass and glass products

The core of the business is cut-to-size glass. Among the products it sells are:

• Mirrors, finished for superb reflection and clarity.
• Toughened and laminated safety glass.
• Annealed glass.
• Texture glass, designed to provide privacy without blocking light.
• Fire-resistant glass (Pyro Glass).
• Greenhouse glass, cut to size.
• Sealed units.
• Traffic mirrors.
• Kitchen splash backs.
• Lacobel glass and digitally printed glass.

The company also offers a glass weight calculator and publishes sheet glass size charts for stock, as well as a stock clearance section.

Windows and doors

In addition to glass, Park Glass sells external joinery. Its range includes uPVC and aluminium windows, as well as PVCu, aluminium and composite doors, plus bifold doors. The website includes an online uPVC window designer and mentions solutions such as triple track sliding doors and the Yale Conexis smart lock.

Service to homeowners and trade

The company supplies both the trade and the general public alike. Its commercial services include a Price Beat system, through which customers can request a counter-offer. The website also offers quotations, online forms, downloadable brochures and an information hub with technical guides, notes on regulations — including those relating to glass balustrades — and advance order notices.

Coverage and reviews

Park Glass presents itself as a local supplier for Kent and states that it also serves London, Surrey, Sussex and Essex. The company collects customer reviews from independent platforms such as Trustpilot, Google, FreeIndex and Facebook, covering both made-to-measure glass supply and installation, and states that it has supplied institutional and business customers.
