Showerscape

Showerscape: bespoke printed shower panels in Wales

Showerscape is a family-run business based in Rhiangell, Aberangell, in Machynlleth (Wales, United Kingdom), dedicated to manufacturing printed shower and wall panels featuring images, patterns, graphics or text. The company presents itself as a pioneer in the custom image shower panel market and has received recognition for its work, according to its own communications.

Design catalogue

The catalogue is organised into several families. Standard designs include nature and landscape images, textures, tall or single-wall panels and panels for placing above the bath. The art section reproduces works by Audubon (Birds of America), botanical illustrations by Robert John Thornton, flowers by Mandy Disher and a collection of abstract art. Notable abstract designs include Blossoming by Paul Klee, Golds and Stones, with prices starting from £494.00. The company also offers custom panels for bathrooms, swimming pool walls and commercial spaces.

Bespoke design service

Showerscape works with its own design service that adapts any image, pattern, graphic or combination of them to the exact size of the customer's shower or bath. The panels are produced to millimetre-perfect measurements, with the image scaled to fit the walls, and can wrap around several walls or join at the necessary points. The company states that these are not pre-printed catalogue panels, but made-to-measure production. They also offer panels that fit most standard shower trays for online purchase, and the possibility of manufacturing any standard or customer's own image in the required size.

Applications beyond the domestic bathroom

The waterproof panels are also intended for swimming pool walls, campervan showers and narrowboat bathrooms, as well as bathrooms and wetrooms in new-build extensions and listed properties. They are equally used on feature walls in boutique hotels, holiday accommodation, cabins and hydrotherapy environments. The company works with architects, interior designers and accommodation businesses, as well as private homeowners, and notes that its durable, waterproof composite panels meet the creative and practical demands of commercial, hospitality, spa and leisure environments.

Product features

The panels are slim, durable and waterproof, easy to clean and mould-resistant. Their installation is described as quick and simple, with minimal mess or disruption, and they eliminate the need for traditional tile grout. The company offers the option of choosing any colour from the image for the side panel. Prices include VAT and UK nationwide delivery, and standard panels start at £420, with a size of 800 x 2200 mm for typical shower enclosures. A material sample can be requested to check the strength of the panel, the sharpness and vibrancy of the print and the hardcoat finish.

Track record and team

Showerscape has over 25 years of experience in design for print and in creating and retouching images with pixel precision. The company describes itself as an award-winning family business and operates from its base in Aberangell, Machynlleth.
