About Maxlight
Maxlight: ultra-slim aluminium architectural glazing manufactured in London
Maxlight is a British company with a factory in London that designs, manufactures and installs ultra-slim aluminium glazing systems. Since 2011, the team has worked with an integrated model: a single team controls the entire process, from initial concept to final installation, serving both private homeowners and architects, contractors and other specification professionals across the UK.
The company presents itself as specialising in solutions for homes seeking more light, silence and architectural character. Its catalogue is organised into six main systems, all developed, manufactured and installed by Maxlight.
Six glazing systems
Maxlight's offering is structured into six product families, each with different variants:
- Sliding doors: four options of slim aluminium sliding systems that open the home to the garden. They include standard sliders, pocket sliders, opening-corner sliders and bi-parting doors.
- Pivot doors: three options of architectural entrances with a smooth, balanced action, from slim aluminium frames to more substantial steel frames. S-Max, F-Max and X-Max models.
- Rooflights: three options of overhead glazing to bring natural light into the centre of the home. They include Skymax rooflights, up-and-over glazing and lean-to glass roofs.
- Structural glazing: two options of frameless and structural glass that carries its own load, with glass extensions, bonded corners and walk-on floors.
- Windows: two options of slim-framed and frameless windows that add light, ventilation and character without excessive bulk. They include sliding window and fixed panel.
- Oriel Bay: one option of oriel bay window designed to bring more depth, natural light and character to a room.
For homeowners and for specifiers
Maxlight organises its relationship with clients through two channels. For private homeowners, it offers practical guidance for planning glazing, completed projects and direct contact with the team, as well as a brochure, FAQs and access to its periodic publication. For specifiers — architects and technical professionals — it provides technical details, CPD training, direct project support and the possibility of visiting its showroom.
Projects and editorial recognition
Among the projects shown on its website are Ferry House (Wiltshire), Backwater House (Norfolk), Panoramic House (London) and Muttram Veedu (London). The company's work has appeared in publications such as House & Garden, RIBAJ, Architecture, Houzz and Grand Designs.
