Doorfinder

Doorfinder: made-to-measure replacement kitchen and wardrobe doors in the UK

Doorfinder is a British supplier specialising in the sale of replacement kitchen and wardrobe doors, end panels, units and components for both kitchens and bedrooms. Its model is supply-only: the customer buys made-to-measure doors and components and fits them themselves. The company operates exclusively online, with orders available 24 hours a day, and serves the UK mainland market with free delivery.

Door and finish catalogue

The catalogue is organised into several product families. Replacement kitchen doors include high gloss, matt, handleless, shaker and woodgrain finishes, as well as the white door line, which the company presents as its most popular colour. It also sells bedroom wardrobe doors, with hinge options, and end panels and trims. The range is completed by kitchen units — base, tall and wall —, accessories such as handles, knobs, hinges, drawers and fittings, and storage items and bins.

The company offers wardrobe door samples, kitchen samples and free colour samples to make it easier to choose before buying.

Manufacturing and technical specifications

The doors are made to measure in vinyl-wrapped MDF and painted MDF versions. The company states that some production is British and some Italian. Technical features it details include sealed and painted edges, resistance to high temperatures and moisture, and the use of FSC-certified wood. Doors are available in different thicknesses depending on the range: 18 mm, 19 mm and 22 mm. The company offers a six-year guarantee on its products.

The catalogue shows three product tiers with starting prices. Compatibility and measuring service

The company notes that its doors can be ordered to replace standard-sized units from all the top UK brands, including Ikea, Howdens, B&Q, Wickes, Magnet and Benchmarx. Many of the doors accept custom sizes. Doorfinder publishes step-by-step guides on how to measure kitchen cupboard doors, how to measure hinges, how to install handles, kitchen door costs and a buying guide, as well as answering frequently asked questions about standard sizes and whether wardrobe doors can be replaced without changing the frame or cabinet.

Track record and customer service

The company states it has over 30 years of experience in the UK kitchen industry. It offers expert advice, a no-obligation quote service and a chat assistant on its website. Phone support is available Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 17:30 and Saturdays from 10:00 to 15:00. Doorfinder states it applies a price match guarantee and will beat any competitor's offer.
