Executive training in leadership and cultural intelligence

London Intercultural Academy (LIA) is the training division of London Intercultural Centre, dedicated to developing professional capabilities to work effectively across cultures, generations, markets and organisations. Its activity combines behavioural science, intercultural intelligence and practical learning, with programmes aimed at leaders, managers and teams in global organisations.

The academy presents itself as the executive education arm of London Intercultural Centre and operates with organisations in more than 40 countries, with a declared presence in cities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Western Europe, Southern Europe, the Nordic region, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The LIA Development Framework

The entity structures its offering around the LIA Development Framework, a system that organises capability development into five connected layers, from the individual to the whole organisation: self-management, working with others, working across cultural differences, leadership, and risk and compliance. The framework groups 30 programmes, six for each layer.

Areas of expertise and programmes

The training offering is structured into three main thematic blocks:

• Leadership: programmes such as intercultural leadership, emotional intelligence at work, first-time manager training, time management, giving and receiving feedback, inclusive leadership, leadership development, decision making, European leadership and accountability for teams.
• Workplace intelligence: training in workplace discrimination, unconscious bias, psychological safety, DEI strategy and certification, working across cultures, neurodiversity, managing multigenerational teams, imposter syndrome and anti-harassment.
• Communication: conflict resolution, AI literacy for employees, data protection and GDPR, workplace wellbeing, stress management, difficult and disciplinary conversations, and phishing attack prevention.

Key certifications

Its main certifications include the People & Culture Intelligence certification, the global certification in leadership excellence and the global diversity and inclusion certification. The academy identifies itself as a CPD Provider (CPD Provider: 781813) and holds ICO registration (ZB346894) and UKPRN 10093621.

LIA offers tailored programmes and strategic support for corporations, governments and institutions, with solutions designed together with its experts and aligned with each client's objectives, culture and operational context. Its corporate offering includes face-to-face training, online learning, certifications, executive education and an LMS platform, as well as train-the-trainer services.

Environmental commitment

The organisation declares that it reduces the environmental impact of its operations through participation in 1% for the Planet, the use of renewable electricity in its data centres through its infrastructure partners, and investment in permanent carbon removal through Climeworks and CHARM Industrial.
