About G.Network
G.Network, full fibre for London
G.Network is a telecommunications operator that builds and sells full fibre (100% full fibre) connections in London. Its offering is aimed at both homes and businesses and is based on its own fibre optic network, which the company describes as built exclusively for the UK capital. The company presents itself as a full fibre broadband provider serving London only.
Full fibre infrastructure
The company is replacing copper infrastructure with fibre to the premises. According to its description, full fibre reaches premises directly via fibre optic cables, rather than the old copper cables. The company notes that these cables transmit data faster and more reliably, and that copper connections tend to be shared among groups of buildings, so heavy usage affects all users. G.Network's network offers guaranteed download and upload speeds.
Home plans
The residential line-up includes the Home, HomePro1, HomePro3 and HomePro10 options. The company states that HomePro10 reaches up to 8.5 Gbps download speed, HomePro3 up to 2.4 Gbps, HomePro1 up to 900 Mbps and Home up to 300 Mbps. These figures are compared with the UK average of 69.4 Mbps, which according to the company means 120, 35, 13 and 4 times the national average speed respectively. The source of that comparison is Ofcom's 2023 home broadband performance report.
Plans are offered with 12- or 24-month commitments, or with a monthly rolling option with no lock-in. The company states that it does not apply price rises during the contract and allows customers to change plan at any time.
Business and partner services
G.Network also sells full fibre broadband to businesses of all sizes, with gigabit speeds, reliability and competitive pricing. It also has a channel for partners and resellers.
Installation, guarantee and WiFi coverage
The company offers a switching service managed by its own team, which handles the arrangements with the current provider and, if necessary, sends an engineer to complete the installation. For new customers, G.Network applies a 90-day satisfaction guarantee that allows cancellation without cancellation charges within that period, with 30 days' notice; the guarantee does not apply to existing customers or to certain promotional products. The company states that this period is up to four times longer than the average offered by operators such as BT, Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, Vodafone, Plusnet and EE, a comparison independently verified by FDM.
The Full On WiFi service uses smart mesh technology to extend fibre coverage to every room, with no dead zones or dropouts.
