Touchstone is a British company specialising in residential property management for large institutional landlords. With 30 years of activity in the sector, it manages 23,000 homes and an annual rent roll of £280 million, and has 270 employees in the UK. Services for owners and investors

The company offers residential portfolio management, covering all aspects of managing client portfolios. For the build-to-rent segment, it collaborates with architects on design and plans marketing campaigns for launch to the market. It also provides tailored solutions for letting agents (Agent Solutions) and consultancy services covering everything from identification and viability through to design, development, stabilisation and operational efficiency. In addition, it provides services to lending entities (Lender Services).

Rental and residential programmes

Touchstone manages homes in rental, shared ownership and retirement property schemes. It also operates PfP Students, a student accommodation programme. Tenants can download a mobile app to manage repairs and other services.

Experience and projects

The company has participated in projects such as Matrix Homes in Manchester, in collaboration with Manchester City Council, the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, the Homes and Communities Agency and its parent company Places for People. It also manages developments for Dolphin Living, Bricklane, Auxesia, The Blockhouse (Brighton), The Forum (Birmingham), Lina House (Acton, London), Howard Court (High Wycombe) and The Charter (Gravesend).

History

Founded in 1988 as Johnson Fry Property, the company began working on long-term investment portfolios in the 1990s. The name Touchstone emerged in 1999 after acquiring the private rental division of Pinnacle Regeneration. It subsequently developed through a joint venture with Colliers to form CCRE Touchstone and, with new funding, created Touchstone CPS Ltd in 2006. In 2012 it joined Places for People Group, one of the UK's largest groups for property management, leisure, development and regeneration, with more than 180,000 properties owned or managed and assets exceeding £3 billion.
