Tropical Glass, terrariums and indoor gardening kits in the UK

Tropical Glass is an online shop based in London dedicated to the world of terrariums. Its catalogue ranges from DIY assembly kits to ready-made compositions, as well as a wide range of plants, live mosses, glass jars and accessories to maintain these miniature ecosystems. The company presents itself as a British destination for everything related to terrariums and offers UK-wide delivery.

DIY terrarium kits to assemble at home

The DIY range is organised into closed and open kits, with different container sizes and levels of contents. Among the closed models are the 'Paris' (22 cm container with plants), the 'Avignon' (19 cm), the 'Mallorca' (25 cm), the 'Malaga' (25 cm), the 'Calgary' (24 cm) and the 'Bonn' (32 cm jar with plants and decoration). In open format, the 'Porto' is sold, a kit with a bottle-shaped jar and plants. The shop also offers basic and XS starter kits, with the option to include a plant and moss, designed as a first introduction to this hobby.

Ready-made terrariums and bonsai compositions

For those who prefer a piece ready to place, the catalogue includes terrariums assembled in different formats: the 'Lugo' (8 cm), the mossarium 'Avila' (8 cm), the 'Ronda' with planted Fittonia (12 cm), the 'Toledo' (15 cm) and the 'Seville' with Fittonia (20 cm). The company makes these compositions in its London studio. It also has terrariums with bonsai, such as the 'Grand Canyon' (23 cm) with planted bonsai, and a limited edition with bonsai and Fittonia. It also sells a terrarium lamp with a DIY kit and Ficus Bonsai Ginseng, called 'Jakarta'.

Plants, mosses and accessories

The plants and mosses section includes live moss in different presentations: bun moss, carpet moss, a combined batch of both and trays of each variety. The shop also sells terrarium plants and pots, preserved moss and dried flowers. Accessories include lids and tools, decorative figurines, substrates and decorative elements, natural cork bark in various sizes, glass jars, grow lights and personalisation systems. The catalogue is completed with pieces such as a miniature resin pond ornament, a leaning tower and dragon stone.

Gifts and workshops

The shop groups part of its offer into gift sections, with ideas for Christmas, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Easter, as well as gift cards. Tropical Glass also organises terrarium-making workshops, both open to the public and in a corporate format for companies.
