The Boma Garden Centre

Family-owned Kentish Town garden center with indoor and outdoor plants, pots, and planting, design, and landscaping services for London spaces.

About The Boma Garden Centre

The Boma Garden Centre grew from the restoration of a neglected site in Kentish Town. Denise and her nephew Sean, from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, acquired it in 2002 and transformed it into a plant business connected to the community. The name evokes an African gathering place, a reference echoed by African sculptures and plant displays in this corner of North London.

Sean’s horticultural experience began with a backyard nursery and continued with UK training in garden center management. That background accompanies an offering of indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs, climbers, seasonal flowers, and perennials. The selection also includes handmade pots, terracotta, glazed pieces, and containers for balconies, patios, and terraces.

Boma also works on container planting, planters, and urban spaces. Its services range from arrangements for windows and rooftop terraces to planting schemes in established gardens. Design and landscaping incorporate hard landscaping materials, planting, and installation, with an offering that can support a project from the initial concept through completion.

The maintenance catalog includes compost, aggregates, decorative stones, hand tools, plant food, and irrigation systems. The online store extends purchases to London homes and postcodes within the M25, with free delivery for orders meeting its conditions. The Boma Rewards program brings points, offers, and vouchers together in a customer app.

The center welcomes dogs and lists free parking opposite the premises. It places Kentish Town Underground station about a three-minute walk away, making a visit part of an urban neighborhood rather than requiring a trip to the outskirts. Staff advice, gardening articles, and plants make Boma a place where a purchase can connect with a home or garden project.
