Saga presents itself as a group that markets exclusively to people over 50 a range of products and services covering insurance, travel, cruises, finance and a monthly publication. Its offering is organised into several distinct business areas, each with its own catalogue and customer service channels.

Insurance: car, home, travel and health

The insurance area includes car, home, travel and private medical cover, as well as other complementary policies. In motoring, there is over 50s car insurance, fixed price car insurance, add-ons, electric car insurance, breakdown cover and European cover. For the home, building and contents insurance, over 50s home insurance, contents insurance, renters insurance, home insurance add-ons and fixed price home insurance are offered. For travel, single trip travel insurance, travel insurance for existing medical conditions, annual travel insurance, cruise travel insurance and over 70s travel insurance are detailed, along with delayed flight assistance. The private medical branch allows comparing plans, switching provider, taking out over 60s health insurance and choosing a hospital. Landlord insurance and motorhome insurance are also added.

The website indicated a promotion of 20% off Saga travel insurance, applicable to Standard or Plus cover, for new policies taken out before the end of 30 September 2026. It also showed car cover from £289 a year, specifying that this premium corresponded to 50% of new customers between May and July 2026, excluding add-ons and finance.

Holidays and cruises

The holidays section brings together escorted tours, with variants for solo travellers, safaris and rail journeys, as well as hotel stays with all-inclusive options, winter sun and special interest proposals such as birdwatching, walking, food and stays linked to British universities. The section is completed with destination inspiration, last-minute offers and the 2027 catalogue.

In cruises, a distinction is made between ocean and river cruises, with schedules for 2026 and 2027, solo departures, late availability and destination offers. The company details what each type includes and offers a guarantee called Love It First Time. For 2027, it announces boutique river cruises with discounts of up to 25% for early booking on an all-inclusive basis.

Financial products and legal services

The money area groups easy access and fixed rate savings accounts, cash ISAs, standard mortgages, buy-to-let, remortgaging and family supported mortgages, comparison of mortgage rates, retirement interest only mortgages and equity release. Legal services are added, such as will writing, lasting power of attorney, probate and free legal review, as well as investment products through stocks and shares ISAs and funds and a general investment account.

Magazine and community

Saga publishes a monthly magazine that the company itself describes as the UK's best-selling in its category. The publication covers homes, entertainment, gardening, health and wellbeing, travel, recipes and pastimes such as crosswords, sudokus and codewords, and includes video and podcast. The subscription was offered at £14.95 with a free puzzle book, and the podcast Experience is Everything featured Lorraine Kelly as host. The company also maintains a wine club, Vintage by Saga, with selected wines, and a dating and companionship service called Saga Connections.

Customer service and corporate structure

Customers with active policies or bookings have a management centre to check quotes, make claims, renewals, policy changes and travel documentation. The company offers different phone lines for holidays and cruises, and publishes help resources such as bereavement service, support services and newsletter.
