Meeplewood

Meeplewood, handcrafted board game tables and Crokinole boards in the United Kingdom

Meeplewood is a handcraft workshop based in London specialising in handmade board game tables and Crokinole boards. The project was born from its founders' own passion for board games: they were looking for a table with the right dimensions, the correct vault depth and an attractive finish, and when they couldn't find an option on the market that met those conditions at a price they considered fair, they decided to make it themselves.

Bespoke board game tables

The workshop's main activity is creating custom board game tables. The process starts with the client's input: Meeplewood works to specific requirements to adapt the size, the depth of the inner vault and the final appearance of each table. The company describes its offering as a way to elevate the gaming experience and, at the same time, to integrate the table into everyday home use, as the design also allows it to be used as a dining table.

The range is completed with Crokinole boards, a traditional game of skill that the workshop has added to its offering. The company presents these boards highlighting both their aesthetic finish and their playing performance.

Customisation as a way of working

Meeplewood does not work with closed models, but develops each piece from the buyer's idea. The company invites you to get in touch beforehand to define how the desired table or board should be, and throughout the process maintains direct contact with the client. Several testimonials on its website describe that communication as close and flexible, and mention the patience and professionalism of the workshop's owner during the commission.

A community of gamers

The company presents itself as linked to the board gaming community, which it describes as inclusive, and sets its goal on sharing quality tables with that audience. This orientation is reflected in the tone of the comments it publishes, in which customers relate both the improvement in their gaming experience and the value of getting the family dining room back when the table serves a dual purpose.

Receiving commissions

The testimonials shared by Meeplewood come from customers who have received tables or boards and consistently highlight the quality of the work and the service received. Among them are commissions made to exact specifications, satisfaction with the final result and recommendations of the workshop to others considering a similar purchase.
