Tagvenue
Marketplace for searching and comparing event venues in the UK and other countries, from bars to meeting rooms.
About Tagvenue
Finding a venue can take longer than organizing the event itself. Tagvenue began in London in 2015 to make available spaces visible and comparable through one search. It does not own every room it lists; it connects organizers with venues that publish their terms and availability.
The platform lets users start with a city, event type, and guest count. Options include private bars, restaurants, hotels, meeting rooms, lofts, gardens, and cultural spaces. An intimate birthday, a conference, and a wedding need different services, so filters for capacity, location, and features matter more than a photo gallery alone.
The project grew out of the difficulties founders Artur and Maksim encountered while searching for venues for their own events. From London it expanded to other UK cities and markets including Ireland, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and the United States. That reach does not turn a search result into a confirmed booking: each space has its own rules and calendar.
A listing should be read for exactly what is being hired. An entire room is different from reserved tables inside a bar; an hourly rate does not necessarily include food, cleaning, or audiovisual equipment. Photos show atmosphere, but seated or standing capacity and rules on noise, hours, or suppliers determine whether the place actually works.
Tagvenue helps users send inquiries and communicate with venue managers. Depending on the listing, the process may involve a proposal, visit, and particular payment or cancellation terms. Before confirming a date, it is worth getting setup and teardown time, accessibility, and guest-count changes in writing.
The company also offers tools that help owners present and manage their spaces. That two-sided model explains why the catalog ranges from familiar restaurants to unusual locations. The platform makes discovery easier; describing an event accurately and agreeing on the details still happens in conversation with the venue.
Tagvenue is especially useful when three or four options are compared against the same requirements. Location, capacity, total budget, and conditions can be placed side by side before falling for a photograph. The website helps find the door; a useful visit and a clear agreement reveal what is really behind it.
