A third depot, in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, opened in 2021 and covers exhibition venues across Scotland; according to the company, it is currently the smallest, although it plans to expand its operations in Scotland.

Group history

The history of Exhibit Hire goes back two decades. Furniture Hire UK, the group's parent company, was founded in 2004 by Dan Smith and began with a team of four people in a 5,000 sq ft warehouse in South East London. Growth forced successive moves until the current head office, opened in 2024. Exhibit Hire began as an independent business in 2007 in South Wales and shortly afterwards expanded to London. Furniture Hire UK acquired the company in 2019, when its previous owners decided to retire. For several years Exhibit Hire operated from a separate building in Southall, West London, until in 2022 both activities were consolidated into a single main hub, which allowed the vehicle fleet and warehouse resources to be expanded and operational capacity to increase significantly.
