Smile Aligners

Smile Aligners: clear aligners in London

Smile Aligners is a London-based company that sells clear dental aligners to straighten teeth at home. Its approach is based on treatment approved and supervised by qualified dental specialists, with personalised plans and prices that the company itself presents as the most affordable in the UK. The firm operates through its website and a network of partner clinics in several UK cities.

At-home treatment with professional supervision

Smile Aligners' method consists of removable, clear aligners custom-made from digital scans or dental impressions. The company stresses that this is not uncontrolled DIY orthodontics: every plan is reviewed and authorised by dental specialists before treatment begins. If a case requires complex orthodontics, the company states that the patient is informed from the outset. The process starts with an online assessment or a free consultation, followed by a 3D scan at a partner clinic or an at-home impression kit for £39.95, which includes a video call with an expert.

Day and night options

The company offers two main modalities. DayNight aligners are designed to be worn about 22 hours a day and removed only to eat or drink; their estimated duration is three to five months. They are sold in dual-arch versions, which treat upper and lower teeth, and single-arch versions. NightFit aligners are worn only at night, about ten hours while sleeping, with an estimated duration of five to seven months, and are also available in dual-arch and single-arch versions. The company notes that the exact duration is confirmed once the personalised plan is drawn up.

Prices and financing

Smile Aligners' catalogue shows reference prices for each modality. DayNight dual arch is listed at £1,025 reduced to £625, with instalments from £99 a month; single arch, from £925 to £525, with instalments from £83. NightFit dual arch is listed at £1,125 to £725, with instalments from £116 a month, and single arch, from £1,049 to £649, with instalments from £103. Financing is managed through Partial.ly. The company also advertises an autumn promotion with a £430 discount on clear aligners using the code AUTUMN30, and claims that its prices are 65% lower than those of metal braces and clinic aligners.

What dental issues they treat

According to the company's information, clear aligners are suitable for cases of mild to moderate crowding, gaps between teeth and teeth that have shifted after previous treatment with braces. They can also correct minor bite alignment issues when planned by a dental professional. The company warns that they are not suitable for all cases: severe bite problems or complex jaw issues may require orthodontic treatment in a clinic. Among the issues the website lists as treatable are crowding, crossbite, deep bite, edge-to-edge bite, midline shift, overbite and spacing.

Guarantee and partner clinic network

Smile Aligners offers a guarantee: if after reviewing the impressions its specialists determine that the treatment is not suitable for the patient, the company refunds the amount. To carry out the scans, it has partner clinics in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Crawley, Plymouth and Manchester. The company emphasises that it combines modern technology with dental expertise and that it does not rely solely on automation, but reviews every case at every stage.

Patient profile and user experience

The treatment is aimed at adults looking for a discreet and comfortable solution, including professionals and students. The company highlights that the aligners are made from smooth medical-grade material that reduces irritation of gums and cheeks, and that being removable they allow normal eating and usual oral hygiene. It also notes that correct alignment makes dental cleaning easier and can reduce the risk of gum disease and uneven tooth wear. The site includes patient testimonials that mention visible changes in the first month, the comfort of the aligners and the affordability of the payment plans.
